Care Plus Loperamide Hard Capsules are used for effective relief of sudden acute cases of diarrhoea. Loperamide belongs to a group of medicines that are called antidiarrhoeals, which are used for treating sudden acute cases of diarrhoea in adults and children over 12 years of age. The medication reduces diarrhoea by slowing down an overactive bowel. The capsule also helps the body to absorb more water and salts from the bowels.

What do you need to know before taking Loperamide?

You should not take this medicine if: Allergies: You are allergic to Loperamide or any other ingredients in this medicine. Bowel Issues: You need to keep your bowel movements regular to prevent serious problems like bowel blockage or rapid widening of the colon. Bowel disease: You have a flare-up of ulcerative colitis, which causes symptoms like belly pain, bloody diarrhea, fever, and weight loss. Severe diarrhoea from Antibiotics: You have very bad diarrhea after taking antibiotics, which could be watery or bloody. Blockages or Constipation: You have constipation, a blocked bowel, or a swollen belly. Gut Infections: You have a bacterial infection in your stomach from germs like Salmonella, Shigella, or Campylobacter. Inflamed Colon from Antibiotics: You have inflammation of the colon after taking antibiotics, with symptoms like watery or bloody diarrhea. Infectious diarrhoea: You have infectious diarrhoea, which means you have blood in your stools and a high fever.

How to store Loperamide?
